I've been having a terrible time at work lately (ok, not just lately), and was particularly stressed out yesterday.
I came home to a hot bath and scented candles.
and soul calibur 4 :P
it was the sweetest thing ever, and I wish there was something I could do to make one of his bad days better.
in other news, we saw the new batman on thursday!
went out to dinner and then to the movie with our friend mazikeen.
so much fun hanging out with her.
and she may be moving, in which case we may be moving.
surprisingly enough moving doesn't seem like such a big deal anymore.
sarah is in town, and we went out on saturday.
just for dinner, and then went out to the strip for some booze.
we made some awesome tasting pink mojitos with fresh mint and a lime slice and sugar!
also had some disaronno sours. I'd never actually had disaronno, based solely on that ridiculous commercial where the chick starts licking her ice cubes. anyhow, it was surprisingly good.
we played soul calibur 2 and 3 in preparation for the new release.
budd & I are totally giving sarah soul cal 4 for her bday. a bit late, but oh well :D
and now I suppose I should get back to hating my job.
out of all the things that I felt were so wrong in my life, I think the only thing that I'm still unhappy with is where I work.
I should probably change that, huh... not like I haven't tried.
I get a week off next month for my birthday, we'll see how I feel after that.

my neice mentioned, in passing, that she had met my dad's "other" son.
a lifetime of 'y un chamaco' (and one son) collided with fragmented childhood memories of driving by a house and my mother saying 'dog face lives there'
I've always wondered what it'd be like to meet this kid.
it looks like budd and I aren't moving after all.
I'm more than a little disappointed, and while I know it's not his fault or anything, I'm still pretty frustrated about it.
I had this dream a while back about he & I moving and him proposing and what not.
I said no, and then either the dream fast forwarded to (or maybe I just don't remember) BoB and I dancing to neon moon by brooks & dunn, at my wedding (to budd)
it wasn't the BoB that's rummaging about nowadays, but the BoB I grew up.
like, it wasn't him really, more of a memory of him. of who he was.
I dunno.
some days I think budd's the best thing ever, and some days I wonder why we even bother with each other.
we have nothing in common, but I am comfortable with him.
comfortable the way I was comfy with BoB.
I don't think I'll publish this. not for a while, anyway.

I stayed home today, and just woke up about half an hour ago.
budd made me some earl gray tea, and it's wonderful.
monk is on, think I'm gonna lay on the couch and watch a few episodes.

it was super packed so I wanted to go to the mall, and for whatever reason we wound up at best buy.
FINALLY picked up lego indiana jones, portal, and omg! we preordered soul calibur 4.
the box advertised a free 18 month calendar with preorder, so we snatched that baby up.
only... it's a tiny little calendar.
oh well, good for the kitchen or something.
we're fixing to go talk with the prairie pointe people again, and see what the final word is.
maybe not final, but whatever.
we mutually decided against going to look at the heritage, since not only do they have a cockroach army but they also don't have one of the suites available to look at.
had dinner with lus last night!
he got his new computer in a couple of days ago, did I even mention he was getting a new computer?
apple replaced his macbook with a macbook pro because of all the problems he was having.
not a complete replace, but he ended up with a macbook pro for I think $800.
oh and if anyone can think of a cool picture to use with block poster do email me and let me know :)

there's gotta be something seriously wrong with it
supposedly for $699 a month.
we're gonna go look at it on saturday, before we make the leap and try and sign on with preserve at prairie pointe.
we looked at some apartment reviews, and while prairie pointe likes to tack on a $1300 fee to replace pet owners' carpets (that explains the awesome carpet, imo) that's still loads better than the cockroach army living in heritage.
guess we'll find out for ourselves before too much longer.

I hate playing my rogue because her gear sucks and I hate trying to get gear because I hate playing my rogue.
