ok so I'm an idiot.
I just figured out why I ~still~ haven't gotten the christmas cards and calendar I bought from my store. I ~just~ remembered that they don't ship to post office boxes so the last time I ordered I entered David's address as my shipping address.
So that package he got a note about? Well... It's mine.
*sigh*

So now when I get off work I'm heading over to david's apartment's office to get my stuff!

new glasses for everyone!!!

We went to get new glasses yesterday, and had the works done with our eye exam. We did the whole dilation thing... which was weird. Then we wandered around the mall for hours 'till it wore off. And I'm ~so~ sleepy tonight 'cause I didn't get to sleep at all!
I'm gonna go to bed this morning... I'm gonna sleep 'till my belly button pops out.

I've got a pic of David in his new glasses at my moblog. Mine won't be ready 'till this afternoon, but I'll take a pic then.

Yes, I know... I'm gonna take a pic or two of the table sometime soon.

tekken tag!!! w00t!!!

David got me tekken tag for christmas!!! I'm sooooooooooo gonna romp him!
He also got me season 1 of andromeda! very cool.
His mom and stepdad gave me a stuffed snowman and a panda bear with lotions and stuff from bath and body works. That was pretty cool too.
~And~ they had a stocking for me too!
They are so cool.

David liked the coffee table a lot. I'm thinking I may have to borrow it to paint it decently. It was all so last minute. I'm such the procrasinator, eh? At least the stain had dried when I took it over there. heh.
And he especially liked the adult diapers I got him, but I think the monster package of toilet paper was his favorite.

Oh!!! I've ~got~ to link to a pick of the wrapping paper he used for Andromeda. He wrapped the whole thing with receipts! rofl. Oh it was great. He had me all looking for his phone book and stuff, fussing about how he had wanted to steam vac but couldn't 'cause I had broken it, and the net was still down from when we had played halo, so I was down on my hands and knees looking for the phone book in the cabinets below the tv on his entertainment center. And I ~finally~ manage to get the door open and there's this box covered with receipts with a big red bow on it. Oh it was sooooooooooo cute.
And I managed to get the coffee table all the way up the stairs by myself. The original was still over by the balcony (also left over from the gaming night) so I just plopped down the new table where the old one usually is. Then I put some gifts on it, and then I told him he could come out and look. See, I had sent him to his room with his dog while I set things up. He comes out and is in shock 'cause the wrapped gifts were so big, and then he double-takes the coffee table, looks back to where the old one is, then practically has a heart attack.
I had told him I was making him something, but honestly that's not much of a hint - I could have been making anything, ya know?
And when we got to his mom's he told her, and everyone there was all impressed and stuff. I was so embarrassed, 'cause it's not exactly an awesome table, and like... I dunno, just... she was all "wow" about it.

Anyway... I should do some work for a while.

They're hunting me

yes, it's true.
David and his crew and I played Halo last night 'till ~ 0300. There were... 9, sometimes 10 of us playing. I was wearing pink. heh. Yeah, and um... when it was free for all pretty much I kept getting killed. I think my top death count was 16 and my top kills were maybe 10. When we were playing teams, well, David was on my team. And he kept betraying me!!! *grr* So yeah, I could have done a lot better if it weren't for my ~awesome~ bf who kept blowing me up. And like, I was ~definitely~ the weakest player. I was an easy kill and they kept taking it. No prize buck, these d00ds were picking off the maimed and crippled doe in the corner. *grr*
And in my defense, I've never played on an xbox before. And for those of you who don't know, I decided agst giving david an xbox live for Christmas. I went with the whole "it's the thought that counts" ideal and decided to make him something. We'll all know how it goes tomorrow. I'm really nervous and I hope he likes it.
Anyway.
We were at the mall yesterday during the day shopping for Christmas gifts. Oh gawd that boy is a cheapskate!!! It took me half an hour and all sorts of insults to get him to go over his "$50 per gift" for his mom. And it was only an extra $20! For the woman who brought him into this world, went through labor, gave birth... has stood by him for the last 27 years! On that scale, I'm liable to get one of those little fake rings from those 25 dispensers. He's fairly certain I'm gonna like his gift, so I'm pretty stoked.
I was talking to one of his friends when we were at the mall yesterday. See, David's so predictable. Like, I know he was planning on giving me something sci-fi, and it was gonna be a movie, or a season, or something "entertaining" like that. I was telling his friend this when David was on the phone so I didn't figure he was listening to me. But apparently, he was. He told me just now that he was spontaneous! That he heard what I was saying, that I was right, and that he decided on something else and I'm gonna love it. So like I said, I'm pretty stoked.
I ended up kinda copping out when it comes to his mom's gift. He decided to get her some jammies and slippers from VS, and I was gonna give her a robe. But for whatever reason I didn't. I ended up getting her a little doggy gift set for Coco. It comes with a doggy picture frame, an id tag, a key chain, and a stuffed doggy bone. It's cute, and I hope she likes it.
Well, we're heading out to the mall now...

"So you like Mountain Dew" is not a pick up line

Well I've had a very interesting 24 hours.

I woke up @ ~ 1600 yesterday. When I got up my sis was home and she thought it'd be nice for us to go shopping together. Now for the record, I ~hate~ shopping with my sister. She's impossible.
I told her I was headed to the mall to pick out a wallet for my dad and to find some smelly gunk for magge. She said she needed to pick out something for my dad, too. So we went together. And that was my first mistake. She said she wanted to stop by Circuit City to pick up some video games for her kids - and that it'd take 20 minutes at most. I didn't know where it was, so she busts out with, "by golden corral." Who even eats there? So that was no help. I finally remembered that circut city is in the same plaza as barnes & noble so I get us there. So we get there and she spends the next 2 HOURS shopping! *grr* So we fight.
The whole reason I was in a hurry was 'cause I hadn't eaten yet and I still needed to go home and change for work and stop by david's to pick up my bag.
So anyway. We get in this fight. And apparently I hurt her feelings.

After work this morning I went with the guys to go pick up my Christmas ham. They were going to Speeds after work and invited me, but I had to take Squishy to the vet so I didn't go.

Squishy's appointment was at noon, and I was outta there at 1230. He has mange. *cringing* But it'll be ok. They gave me some topical ointment to be applied 3 times a day and I scheduled a follow up appt 3 weeks from now. If's it's not cleared up then we'll be switching to oral meds, with an injection as my last resort.
Anyway, back to the story about my impossible sister.

So I'm feeling kinda bad 'cause I had hurt her feelings yesterday. So I invite her to go to Home Depot to help me pick out some wood for some shelves I'm gonna make for my new room. (I'm still trying to convince her I need a new drill for Christmas. Well actually, I've changed to wanting this ~awesome~ little tool set that comes with a hammer drill, a circular saw, a floodlight... and a reciprocating saw. Plus a free gift - my choice would be an extra battery. I'll put a pic down at the bottom, and a link to purchase in case you wanna buy it for me. It's on sale - 20% off. So you get about $600 worth of stuff for only about $400. I'm sold, ya know?) So we end up spending 3 HOURS at home depot!!!! *GRR* And our little salesperson dude apparently helped us last time we were there when I was picking out my shower and toilet and sink and stuff. So he's like uber cool 'cause he knows my dad and all. And out of nowhere she decides that he's hitting on me. Now you have to understand, this d00d knows less about what I'm trying to do than I do. But I'm still cool with that 'cause I didn't wanna be lugging around all the wood myself, ya know? But yeah, he was real helpful. And she decides he's hitting on me for no reason. Pft!!!

Anyway, here's a pic of that tool set I want.

**UPDATE: SINCE CHRISTMAS PASSED - I WAS ACTUALLY BUYING WOOD TO MAKE THE COFFEE TABLE, NOT SHELVES**

movies and burgers

so instead of going to watch lotr we rented some movies, had some burgers, and invited some of david's friends over. Only one showed up - the rest went out on the town to celebrate the end of the semester. I feel bad about that. I'm almost certain that if it wasn't for me David'd be out there celbrating too. But I mean.... I dunno.... if he wanted to go he would. He's such an old man sometimes. Like he couldn't hardly make it through all of Bad Boys II.

Squishy had a doctor's appointment this afternoon that I slept through. I hope they don't charge me for not keeping the appointment. My poor little man - he's still got that rash on his shoulder. Guess I'll take him tomorrow sometime. I gave him a bath this afternoon when I got home from school. He's all smelling good now and his fur's all super soft. He's very cute you know.

Christmas is almost here and I've not gotten all of David's gifts yet! *grr* I have ~got~ to get that taken care of by Friday, since he starts his vacation on Monday. He offered to go out for a while whenever I get all of it taken care of so I can set it up without him seeing. Thought that was really sweet of him. I really would like to get this all taken care of this week, though. Can't believe how quickly Christmas always manages to sneak up on me. And i honestly thought this year I'd at least be ready for it since I started Christmas shopping back in September.

*yawn*

I updated my dressing room at davidsbridal.com again. I just today figured out what dresses my girlfriend had wanted me to be looking at. So I feel kinda dumb, but at least now I ~finally~ know what she's talking about.

I'm watching some steven seagal movie... I wanna go horseback riding. I've not been in aaaaaaages. I miss it.

I'm trying to talk David into taking a vacation with me over Christmas break. I don't even care where, just away from here, ya know? I mean, if I need a vacation Lord knows David needs one more than I do. *sigh*

Anyway, back to the movie.

~finally~ cleared level 25!

So I'm super stoked about that and all. I'd spent from midnight to about 0600 last Sunday morning playing that Gridlock game, and from 0300 to 0600 I was stuck on level 25. Then Friday night I spent about 3 hours playing, Saturday maybe 2, and then last night I'm absurdly bored at work so I give it another round.
So I open it up and it takes me straight to level 25. I'm at it for maybe 30 seconds when suddenly the pieces part and I can finish the level! So I play for a while more up to level 31, then all hell breaks loose at the hospital so I don't get to play anymore.
Still though, I ~finally~ cleared level 25.

"At least Clinton's lies didn't get anyone killed"

heh. I was reading up on blogs and found that out there.
One of the guys I was engaged to last year was killed in Iraq.
I didn't go to his funeral... I guess I should have, but I'm not the greatest at funerals. I'm somewhat... unattached... when it comes to death. Impartial, rather. Just I see it all the time and in reality we're all gonna wind up dead at some point, and I have my faith with me always, so it's just not really a big deal to me. More like "see you on the other side."
Needless to say the guy's mom wasn't too happy with me.
We had another death up here tonight. It's a CCU, it happens, ya know? I mean, each time it's different, and I understand the person's family will miss him or her, but we're all gonna do it at some point. I'm of the impression at least the suffering's over.
Even if you're not sick, though... the world we live in is ~not~ exactly a paradise. With all the people living in poverty, not just in the US but worldwide; kids getting abused by the same people that should be protecting them; prejudism is apparently still alive and ugly in this nation of ours that claims to hold dear the idea that "all men are created equal" but in the same breath will demean someone based on the color of his or her skin or sexual orientation or the social or economic class that person finds themself in; infants born with an addiction to some drug that will at some point kill the woman who gave birth and possibly the child too... It's not exactly paradise, is it?
Makes me think twice before really wanting to bring children of my own into this world.

Now where did all that come from?

I am a Delay Fish

*sigh*
It's true - I am. Like in Finding Nemo when Marlin is trying to get rid of Dory and he gets her face-to-face and he says, "You're one of those fish that cause delays. There's a whole group of them, they're called Delay Fish." or something like that. I don't remember exactly, but you get the jist of it.
I went to Daybreak this afternoon, 'cause I new David was studying there. And I bounced my keys on his head and did various other things to distract him from studying. I was trying to convince David into going home with me to have pickles and ice cream (no, not at the same time) but he was ~so~ intent on studying. So anyway, we ended up going to have lunch with his friends, and that took about an hour longer than we had expected. Then we went back to his apt to walk Lucky. And then I convinced him that I never drive anymore so he should ride with me. So he did. And he forgot to get his books from his car. So we were there at Aromas and he gives me his key to go back to his car and get some binders and his physics book. So I go. When I get to his apt I end up having a helluva time getting the car door open, then I drop the key in the grass and fumble for a few minutes before I find it, then I grab the binders and a book from the backseat. So I drive back to Aromas with his stuff. Once I finally get back inside he takes the book and turns it over BAM! it's his engineering book. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck me, ya know? And he's such a sweetie and tries to play it off and he's like, "we'll just go home," so we pack up and leave.
So if he's Mr. Grumpy Gills then I most certainly am a Delay Fish.
*sigh*

I got home from school yesterday a little earlier than usual. I was kinda tired so I thought I'd take a nap for a couple of hours, then get up and go study with david.
pft.
I was asleep for about 21 hours.
*shocked*
I went to bed at about 1700 yesterday and woke up at about 1400 today!
So I didn't study. Apparently I woke up somewherea around midnight and called to tell him I wasn't going. lol. He had opted out of ihop and was at home doing laundry when I called.
So I rolled over and went back to sleep.
When I got up this afternoon I chilled with my dad for a couple of hours - just talking and stuff. Then my sis woke up at about 1600, and since we both had wanted to go to the mall we decided to go together.
Oh gawd that was my first mistake.
We were at the mall from 1700 to 2100 and spent about $400.
On the bright side, I've got some pretty neat clothes now. I ran out of money and had to put this ~awesome~ jacket on layaway. And I need some new shoes. I saw these sketchers I thought were pretty cool. I'm gonna go back and get them as soon as I can afford to. I guess I could always pull money from savings, but that'd kinda defeat the purpose of having a savings account, wouldn't it. lol.

I'm working on the Christmas card right now. I'm gonna do 2. One of me and Squishy, and one of me, David, Lucky, and Squishy. It's going all right. I'm using freehand as my image editor. I guess I could use photoshop... but freehand's already here in my dock, ya know?
lol.
I'm sooooo lazy.

Anyway. I've got a take home test that's due tomorrow, so I better get started.

And David! Keep the carols off my blog!!!!

i know you hate carols but oh well stuff happens haha

=================================================

Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus,
Right down Santa Claus lane
Vixen and Blitzen and all his reindeer
Pullin' on the reins
Bells are ringin', children singin'
All is merry and bright
Hang your stockings and say your prayers
'Cause Santa Claus comes tonight!
Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus,
Right down Santa Claus lane
He's got a bag that's filled with toys
For boys and girls again
Hear those sleigh bells jingle jangle,
Oh what a beautiful sight
So jump in bed and cover your head
'Cause Santa Claus comes tonight!
Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus,
Right down Santa Claus lane
He doesn't care if you're rich or poor
He loves you just the same
Santa Claus knows we're all Gods children
That makes everything right
So fill your hearts with Christmas cheer
'Cause Santa Claus comes tonight!
Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus,
Right down Santa Claus lane
He'll come around when the chimes ring out
That it's Christmas morn again
Peace on earth will come to all
It we just follow the light
So lets give thanks to the lord above
That Santa Claus comes tonight!

head over feet

I was jamming to alanis morissette on my ipod... head over feet came on.
That's exactly how I feel about David.

You treat me like I'm a princess
I'm not used to liking that
You ask how my day was

Your love is think and it swallowed me whole
You're so much braver than I gave you credit for
That's not lip service

You are the bearer of unconditional things
You held your breath and the door for me
Thanks for your patience

You're the best listener that I've ever met
You're my best friend
Best friend with benefits
What took me so long

and the chorus of course:
You've already won me over in spite of me
Don't be alarmed if I fall head over feet
Don't be surprised if I love you for all that you are
I couldn't help it
It's all your fault

So yeah. I told him I was listening to Alanis Morissette and that one of her songs reminded me of how I feel for him. He got offended.... I guess since most of her music is mad-at-the-world.
But I explained it. So it's ok now.

I need a best friend.

So David is studying again tonight. Big surprise.
I don't mean that in a bad way... Just I'm kinda worried about us sometimes. We don't spend very much time together. Well that's a lie. We spend a good amount of time together. I mean... I'm usually there with him when he's studying, assumming I haven't fallen asleep.
Just I was talking to one of my best friends a while back. He'd just dumped the chick he'd been seeing 'cause she didn't know anything about him. And they were living together. I feel sometimes that David and I are kinda like that. I mean... I love spending time with him... just... I dunno. I'm getting to feeling sorry for myself I guess. He's a great guy and I know he's gotta do homework and stuff so he can graduate. Just I feel kinda... neglected? insecure?
*sigh*
Well I talked to him about it... he said not to worry and that in a week he'll be done for the semester and we can chill together 'till I get sick of him.
I'm hoping to make a trip to Houston.

So anyway...
These are some pics of David's apt... of various things and of the decorating I've been doing.
Here we go!

here's another angle... those candy canes are for the dogs...

And here's a no-flash of that awesome little snow man!

hehe... no comment...

Yay! Ducks!!

here's his steam vac that I broke... *sigh*

And this is David's extensive collection of tools. Oh wait... those are all mine....

uber peeved

So like... I called CompUSA yesterday... and the d00d said the apple tech d00d wasn't there... and this d00d couldn't understand the apple tech d00d's notes...
I went back and read that paper I signed.
I'm screwed, yo.

"Limitations of Liability:

You release us from any claim of liability related to any loss of sile/data for any reason whatsoever, including due to our negligence..."

It goes on for a while, but yeah... I'm wigging out. I called my sis and talked her into going by there and picking it up. I'm hoping she gets there before they ship out. I talked to her this morning before class, but I've not been able to get a hold of her since then.

Anyway...

I just talked to her. She picked it up for me.
*stoked*
Gotta back up all my files before they try to reformat my drive.
*sigh*
